Aromatherapy with Cedar Essential Oil

As you enter the exciting world of essential oils and aromatherapy, you’ll soon discover it can be:
a. overwhelming (“what do I buy first?”) and;
b. expensive (“what can wait and what do I need now?”)

Cedar Essential Oil

Cedarwood Essential Oil is said to be one of the first crude essential oils to be extracted, and it was one of the oils that the Egyptians used for spiritual embalming purposes.

Aromatically, I love the rich, woody aroma of Atlas Cedarwood Essential Oil. It is a base note that can help hold an otherwise flighty blend together well.

Though I enjoy blending and diffusing Altas Cedarwood Oil throughout all four seasons, it's especially nice during the Fall and Winter months.

Emotionally, I find  Cedarwood Essential Oil to be grounding and calming, and it is said to help combat negativity. Cedarwood is an oil that I reach for at times when I'm faced with chaos or conflict and want a grounding oil for use during medatation or reflecting on the situation.  It has a great soothing, sedating and calming effects on mind relieves tension and anxiety. This feature also helps in having a good sleep, particularly in patients of insomnia.

Their are two types of Cedar -

Cedarwood, Atlas,

Cedarwood, Virginia

 These are inexpensive essential Oils, just one of many that are great for helping you get a natural restful sleep.
