We use high quality fragrance oils and pure essential oils. We are careful to us Phthalate-Free fragrances (Hormone-disrupting chemicals). We use cotton wicks. (Burning candles with lead-cored wicks is now known to cause lead poisoning, and there are concerns about zinc-cored wicks as well.)

 We are now venturing into the what I refer to as the Complex Fragrances

Complex Fragrances

This category includes fragrances such as ylang ylang, mint, ginger, green tea and eucalyptus, which are often used in day spas and resorts to create a sense of calm and well-being.  Ylang Ylang is believed to decrease anxiety, slow breathing, lower  blood pressure, lift the mood, improve circulation and reduce insomnia. Sandalwood, which also falls into this category, is believed to help regulate one’s mood, treat insomnia and reduce nervous tension. BUT they are fragrance oils, not essential oils.

There is new term, Aromachology, or as I refer them, the more complex fragrance blends , used for  products scented with fragrance oils, that are mostly synthetic.  Aromachology they may influence your feelings and emotions such as relaxation, exhilaration, sensuality, happiness and well-beings but they are fragrance Oils so while pleasing. do not have the therapeutic benefit of an essential oil.
