Vetiver (Vetiveria zizanoides) has a heavy, earthy fragrance similar to patchouli with a touch of lemon. Vetiver oil is psychologically grounding, calming, and stabilizing.

Vetiver for emotional, spiritual and as a fragrance. Emotionally, Vetiver Essential Oil is remarkably soothing and calming. It is a good choice for use if you need to unwind or destress.

Vetiver Oil is useful for anxiety, addressing anger, fighting burnout/exhaustion and coping with fear or insecurity.

However, the aroma of Vetiver Oil is quite strong on its own and it should be well diluted/blended with other oils before use. 

Spirtually, I find Vetiver to be especially grounding. As it is also quite calming, it is a good choice for meditation and prayer.

This is Mid Range Priced Essential Oil, you should expect to pay around $15 for an ounce.
